If you're serious about your recovery, this is the place to be. All the staff was just amazing and genuinely care about you. Thank you Adelante for helping me get clean and sober! I'm still sober by utilizing all the tools I have learned from this place!

Being someone who has been to multiple treatment centers over the past 5 years ( a few of them being in Orange County) I walked into Adelante with pre-conceived notions of what it was going to be like. I have had a history of relapse and leaving treatment early so I asked myself, this hasn’t worked for me in the past, how is this going to be any different? After being picked up from the airport from the lovely Griselda (lead support staff) I was immediately taken to the house in Corona Del Mar for detox. The house was beautiful, and the staff was extremely helpful and catered to my needs. I felt completely secure and safe there my whole stay. Staff like Lisa helped make me feel at home. She was extremely kind and loving towards all of the clients. ( she also works her butt off!) You can really tell that she genuinely loves what she does! Great people like her, the environment provided, and the medication provided for detox made it as painless and as stress free as possible. The food was amazing and the cook Martha is a godsend. After completing detox I moved to the Gavalin Hills house and started the residential part of my treatment. A beautiful house with a pool, hot tub, workout area, and plenty of open space. There’s not much more you could ask for. Jerry the main house manager there is extremely good at what he does. He works long hours and does his best makes sure every client is taken care of. Rudy, another support staff/counselor, made my stay way easier. He really helped me get fired up about staying sober. He has a ton of knowledge that he shared with me, and other clients every day he worked. Definitely helped open up my eyes on a lot of things that were holding me back. If it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t be as motivated as I am to continue to stay clean. I can go on and on about every single staff member that helped me, Jason, Lance, and Victor are all wonderful counselors that really showed up for me. Jan, the program director called me personally the day before I was due to admit and basically gave me a run down of what treatment was going to be like there, she kept her word on everything she said. That is very rare in my opinion, a lot of treatment centers I have gone to in my past used false advertising just to get me enrolled in treatment with them. This was not the case with Adelante. I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to anyone. They are truly in the business of changing lives. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. They don’t have a ton of clients coming in and out, they keep it small and it really gives you the opportunity to learn what you need on a very personal individualized basis. Five out of five stars.

My daughter was a resident at this facility. Words cannot express the gratitude that I have for this treatment facility. She was a completely different person after she completed treatment. Not only was her substance abuse treated but also her domestic violence issues as well. This is the first treatment center that has Domestic Violence therapy that we have ever heard of. All centers should have this. She couldn't stop ranting about how great the counselors were. Thank you all for investing your time, effort but most of all love, care and support towards her. Adelante is the best recovery center to go to if you are serious about becoming clean and sober. The staff are very welcoming, caring, and loving. Without the staffing being so family like i would probably have gone out. I seriously consider them family. Especially Lisa, Jason, Lance, Oscar, Jen, Griselda, Martha, and the Therapist Ida. They hold a special place in my heart. I owe my life to them.

Ive been with adelante for 60 days now and still counting. With previous background going Into detox and other treatment facilities .The staff is beyond fanominal. Jan the director is a blessing. Adelante became my family. During my hardest times every single staff memeber had their own approach to help. I learned so so much in the program. They helped me find my meaning again. And taught me life long things. Lisa is an outstanding woman. Very hard working. She's a tremendous asset to adelante.. All staff are easy to talk too. Take time out of their day to help each individual client.. Lance, Christina, Jason, Victor all fanominal workers . They all make me feel at home. Like I'm doing the right thing. Everyone at adelante has been a major part in my soberity. I couldn't ever do this without them. I can't ever truly express how proud I am to have been in adelantes program.

I was terrified of the withdrawals that I thought I was going to have. I didn't have any. The staff is absolutely amazing! They treat you with love and kindness, not to mention being checked on consistently. Lisa, thank you for being real, raw and full of compassion, you are an excellent counselor and Griselda, I will miss your "Good mornings" you ladies are amazing. Their dedication to the clients' needs is exceptional!

To be completely true in this review, and in my experience, a simple 5 stars cannot do Corona Del Mar's Adalante Recovery/Rehab justice. 22 months ago I went there completely "broken". The staff, along with the program's flexibility and willingness to work with YOUR needs, made it possible for me to create a foundation upon which I started my journey of recovery. A quiet, serene, and nurturing environment, with amazing staff members, will stay dear to my heart. I am so grateful for Corona Del Mar's Adalante and can never thank them enough.

So I was a client at the gavalin home for the 90 day program. I had quality food even though that has nothing to do with getting sober. The counsellors here are amazing and go above and beyond there job, they really care. I really like the fact that they are all recovered alcoholics/addicts. The techs at the house are so cool and easy to get along with and are more than happy to help you with any problem you may run across. The house was so nice and have so many activities to do, not a boring moment my whole 90 day's. I would recommend this to anyone serious about there sobriety.

As a patient of Dr. Rafael Penunuri, I always feel like I am being treated with the utmost respect, by some one that cares about my success, and my sobriety. He is always helpful and supportive, it really is something unique.
